FAQs

What are our candles made from?

Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, wood wicks, and high-quality fragrance oils. No paraffin, dyes, or harsh additives — just clean, cozy light.

Why choose soy candles?

Soy wax burns cleaner, lasts longer, and comes from renewable soybeans. It’s an earth-friendly choice that fills your home with beautiful scent, not smoke.

Are soy candles safe for pets and kids?

Yes! When used properly, soy candles are safe to enjoy around the family. Just keep them up high and never leave a burning candle unattended.

♡ Candle Care & Burning Tips:

How long should I burn my candle?

The sweet spot is 2–4 hours at a time. That’s just enough to let the wax melt evenly without overheating your jar.

Why is there wax left on the sides?

That’s called tunneling, and it happens when the candle isn’t burned long enough for the top layer to melt edge to edge. The first few burns are key — give your candle time to form a full melt pool.

Do I really need to trim the wick?

Yes! Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. It keeps your flame steady and your candle burning clean.

My candle is smoking — what should I do?

Just blow it out, trim the wick a bit shorter, and relight. A little care makes all the difference.

♡ Looks & Texture:

Why does my candle look frosty on top?

Not to worry, this is a really common issue called frosting or surface bloom, it mostly happens with soy wax (or other natural waxes).

That frosted look is totally natural with soy wax. It’s just the wax showing its organic character — it won’t affect how beautifully it burns or smells.

Why It Happens?

Natural crystallization:

1. As soy wax cools and cures, it continues to form tiny crystals over time. Temperature changes (even mild ones) cause the wax to contract and expand slightly, which brings those crystals to the surface — that’s the frosty or cloudy look.

2. Temperature fluctuations:

If your room temperature changes (like near a window, heater, or AC), the wax reacts, leading to frosting on the surface.

3. Curing conditions:

Even after curing, soy candles are sensitive to their environment — especially humidity and temperature swings.

How to Prevent It?

Control the environment:

Store cured candles in a cool, consistent-temperature area away from sunlight and drafts.

Avoid touching the surface:

Oils from your fingers can make frosting look worse or uneven.

How to Fix It?

Gently re-melt the top:

Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low to lightly warm and re-smooth the surface. Don’t overheat — just until it looks glossy again.

Buff with a soft cloth:

Once fully hardened again, you can gently buff the surface to restore a bit of shine (works best with container candles).

There’s a small crack or dip on the surface — is that normal?

Absolutely. As soy wax cools, tiny air pockets can form. Think of it as a sign that your candle was hand-poured, not mass-produced.

The color faded a bit — what happened?

Natural wax + sunlight can cause slight color changes over time. Store your candles in a cool, dry spot to keep them looking their best.

♡ Scents & Ingredients:

What’s the difference between cold throw and hot throw?

Cold throw is how the candle smells when it’s unlit. Hot throw is the scent that fills the room once it’s burning. We test every candle to make sure both are delightful.

Why can’t I smell my candle when it’s burning?

A few things can affect scent strength — room size, airflow, or burn time. Try lighting your candle in a smaller space or letting it burn a bit longer.

Are your fragrance oils clean and non-toxic?

Yes! Our fragrances are phthalate-free, cruelty-free, and made to meet strict safety standards — so you can breathe easy.

♡ Sustainability & Reuse:

How can I reuse my candle jar?

Once there’s about half an inch of wax left, place the jar in the freezer for a few hours — the leftover wax pops right out! Wash it with warm, soapy water and reuse it for plants, pens, or little treasures.

Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes! Our candles are 100% vegan and never tested on animals.

What’s the best way to store my candles?

Keep them cool and out of direct sunlight. A shelf or cabinet away from heat is perfect.
